As a reminder! If you:
- Are on a semi or full hiatus
- No longer want to be part of this directory
LET US KNOW so you can be excluded from the activity check. We lose a lot of members if you don’t officially send a notice to the directory blog, this blog, to document hiatuses and not letting us know is a dumb reason to get dropped from the directory after an activity check. It’s also how we keep track so please make sure to send us an ask if you are on hiatus or want to be removed.
Hiatus Members Exempt from Activity Check:
NEW MEMBERS EXEMPT FROM ACTIVITY CHECK:
This does not mean you don’t have to participate. Only that it won’t count against you if fail to do so. However, you will be held accountable for performing activity checks in the future and the consequences of failing to do so.
As always, three tasks need to be completed by the end of the activity check, one week from now, on Saturday, December 19th, at 11:59 pm EST. So here are the rules for the activity check:
- Be active:
By active this means actively roleplaying and not just reblogging pictures and quotes, etc. This doesn’t have to be with an ASY member but it should be on the dash and obvious that you are roleplaying and still wanting to stay with the directory.- Roleplay with each memeber of the directory:
Impossible task? Not really. We’re asking you to interact with every member within the directory, something we’re supposed to be doing anyway instead of roleplaying with the same three people and ignoring the same five people. You can accomplish this task one of three ways:
(1) Reply to an exisiting thread you have with someone.
(2) Create a starter for someone and tag them in it. And it follows that if you are tagged in a starter, reply to it! Doesn’t matter if it starts off rocky, if it feels awkward, what have you. If you are tagged in a starter, reply to it. We’ve seen that post floating around that says you don’t mind getting tagged in random starters. Well, prove it.
(3) Reply to someone’s open starter. It could be an open starter from this week, or from forever ago but people have several open starters that have never been replied to (Z: And I can attest to that since I have tags full on both Hana and Hanbyul of open starters.) Following this link will lead you to a page of links that will lead to you open starter tags that some members have already. Browse them, reply to one that appeals to you.
Now, it’s possible that you have to utilize all three options in order to reply to everyone within the directory. So be it. Get to know your directory family instead of leaving people hanging and then leaving.
For the current list of directory members, click here.
EXCEPTION: If you have more than one muse here, you do not have to reply to yourself unless you want to. (Z: I sure as hell won’t be having Hana replying with Hanbyul and vice versa but to each his own.) However it should be understood that BOTH of your muses have to interact with everyone. (If I’m gonna do it, so can you.)- When 1 and 2 are completed, like this post, reply with your url, or reblog if your account is a sideblog. NOT BEFORE, NOT WITH THE INTENT OF DOING SO, AFTER THE ABOVE TASKS ARE COMPLETED. And yes, that means after you have replied to everyone in the directory.
If your sideblog is fixed to another account within the directory, and the reply function does not work, reblog this post on that account so it shows up in the notifs.Remember, all three tasks are to be completed by Saturday, December 19th, at 11:59 pm EST. Afterwards. you will be removed from the directory and have to reapply to be added again if these three tasks are not completed.

Hanbyul didn’t even flinch. Should she have been embarrassed or sorry? Probably. She didn’t feel either. Blinked, tilted her head, shrugged, then returned to looking at her clipboard, setting her pen by his name. “My records show that we have a standing sessions every two weeks on Thursday at 10 am. Would you like to keep that as is or change it?”
He lifted a brow. “Twins. Congratulations. I never got a chance to have kids of my own, but it’s still on my bucket list.” He shrugged, leaning back on his hands. “Eh. Last time I checked I wasn’t making much progress anyway.” He leaned forward for a second, voice dropping a bit. “I guess I was being too stubborn.” He chuckled and leaned back again, voice raising to a normal volume. “But, seriously. Congrats. You have a sitter helping you while you’re working now?”
“Well, it’s hard to make much progress when our sessions are few and far between but I’m hoping that can be remedied,” Hanbyul addressed as she, nodded a thank-you at the congratulations. “Thank you, Seungwon and I do. I’m thankful that the twins get along with them well,” she informed, keeping out the fact that it was a nurse that her parents had hired for her. No need to give out needless information to a client, especially one who could potentially try to use it against her.
“Though, as a warning, and I’m making sure to inform all my clients of this, I may be cutting my weekly hours back for an extended period of time. While this won’t affect weekly sessions it will affect times I am available. However, as your sessions are now on Wednesday, I suppose it won’t affect you as much as it could others. Being a new mom, as you can assume, I’d like to be at home as much as possible as well as give my clients the time they need as well.”
“Oh, of course. I definitely understand. Babies need their mothers around. You won’t hear any complaints from me. Though, it would be nice to have a number I could reach in case of any emergencies. I know you don’t spend as many of your off-duty hours in this place as some of the other staff and I’d like to not bother you, but better safe, eh?” He shrugged. “You need anything else from me, or am I keeping you from your duties?”
Decorations everywhere and not a spot is missed! Literally every room, hall and office would be draped in Christmas decorations made by her hand. Minji was definitely in the holiday spirit this year. She made her way toward the library, beginning there before making her way around the institution. She pulled a strand of paper snowflakes from her little basket and draped them over the bookcases.
Seungwon had chosen the perfect seat. A slightly worn armchair and ottoman placed at the best angle by the faux fireplace. His feet were warm and he had a glass of warm cider. He’d found an older edition of The Sandman. And, best of all, it was quiet. The institute hadn’t been seeing much action over the past several months regardless. But, with Josie M.I.A., he’d gotten bored easily. Thankfully Zinger had kept to her own space as well, but he was getting restless and he could only keep himself busy for so long. As he tried to reimerse himself in the story, he heard the rustle of papers. He looked up and watched as a girl came around the corner. She was decorating the bookshelves with paper snowflakes, attempting to brighten up the dark furniture. He gave her an amused half smirk and placed his chin in his hand. “Feeling the holiday spirit, are we?”
“Hm?” Minji turned at the sound of the male voice, not noticing him when she walked in. “Oh, yes. I thought this place could use some brightening up. Are you not?” She questioned the older man as she picked up her basket.
He shrugged. “It usually doesn’t sneak up on me until right before Christmas. Right when the week leading up to it starts. That’s when it creeps up all at once.” He chuckled as he glanced down long enough to place a bookmark in his book. “I may even break out the ugly sweaters.”
He placed his book down and turned to see her better. “The staff are giving us permission to spruce up the place?”
posted 7 years agoSuch a metaphor for my life, was all Koei could think as he looked out one of the lobby windows. Snow was starting to fall. Not much, just enough to dust sidewalks and decaying vegetation with a softness. a blanket to cover up the hideous.
He felt hideous and being in Hana’s head was his blanket of snow.
He had spent a wonderful year with Eunhye but ever since her leaving and her return, things had not been the same and to say otherwise would have been an insult to both of their intelligence and the effort they were putting into getting back on track. He admitted his part in all this but the fact remained that things were at a standstill.
And all either one of them could do was hide the ugly.
Speaking of ugly……
It did nothing for his mood that the particular object that was the center of all this turmoil casually strolled through the lobby at that moment. It was obvious that the person standing by the window wasn’t Hana, but it was neither Zinger or Athenais as well. Koei had left the shoulder length hair down this day but he was still in a black button down, un-tucked and hanging over the dark, slightly fitted jeans he had slipped into. Seungwon’s only options would have been the males. And he did not want to give him the opportunity to engage.
Hands behind his back, he began to walk away from the window and from Seungwon.
Seungwon had been in a piss-poor mood all morning. But, then he’d finally tracked down the nurse who’d found his lighter earlier that week after spotting some of his belongings in the recreation room. Getting it back had been like taking candy from a baby. And, it had given him great satisfaction to watch her struggle with both her fear and desire before she’d eventually shoved the lighter back in his hands and shooed him out of the nurses’ station.
He whistled an Andy Gibb tune as he strolled into the asylum. One smoke break had done wonders for his outlook. It had finally started to look like winter outside, and they’d reinstalled the electrical logs in the library fireplace. After Seungwon tracked down Taekwoon, he’d see if he could convince the recluse to join him at his favorite armchair for a cigar and a guys’ night.
Instead, he found an even better companion. He frowned, about the call the girl’s name when he noticed the clothing. The stiff posture. Hana tended to live in her hoodies, so he figured it couldn’t be her. Zinger and the French woman both had a bit more flair to their wardobes, and the only other alter he’d met seemed the loosest of the bunch. A slow grin spread across his face.
“My, my, my. What a lovely surprise. I don’t believe we’ve had the pleasure of introducing ourselves yet.”
The door to her office was open as she gathered her notes and papers together for her session with Seungwon. It had been a while since they had a proper session, or a proper conversation since they changed the time for his bi-monthly sessions. There was a lot to discuss and a lot to cover, especially considering his time away, his interactions with the other residents, and Eunhye alone. And if they were to get anywhere with treatment, if he even agreed to treatment, they were going to have to start somewhere.
Seungwon strolled down the hallway, taking his time as he read the familiar name plates by each door. He hadn’t been in session in quite some time, and wasn’t entirely eager to return. Dr. Park was a respectable woman, but he didn’t necessarily like people who didn’t ask too many questions. She never seemed to need to; she noticed to much, unlike the doctors they’d sent him to in the slammer. They only did enough to make it seem like they’d earned their paycheck. She actually gave a damn.
And, it was a rather annoying setback for him.
Ever since he’d been transferred without his permission, he’d only “cooperated” by answering any questions as vaguely as he felt like answering. She wasn’t supposed to be his therapist anyway. Why make it easy on her.
She’s okay by my book. She’s just not … the only I asked for.
He discreetly sniffed the collar of his henley to make sure the scent of smoke hadn’t lingered on his clothing before he knocked.
posted 7 years agoIt was about 2 hours into the morning and Jiyong had already downed half a bottle of whiskey as he listened to music. He took another swig from the bottle of Jack Daniel’s in his right hand, a lit cigarette leaving ashes on the floor in his left.
Seungwon followed the smell. Where there was smoke, there was fire. He hadn’t tracked down the guard or nurse who’d confiscated the lighter from his room yet, so he’d have to make do by bumming a light from one of the other residents. He almost turned right back around when he saw the man guzzling Jack by the stairwell, but something in his demeanor told him it wasn’t G-Dragon. Not that he was on good terms with Jiyong, but it looked like for the time being he wouldn’t have to deal with that mouth. And, that was good enough for him.
“Got a light?” He shook out a Newport from his pack.
